As the video concludes, we are taken inside Madison Square Garden in Manhattan,
New York, where an awe-inspiring pyrotechnic display ensues and we are taken to
our commentators, Victor Troy and Randall Buckingham.
Troy: Hello everyone and welcome to PWA:
The Rebirth! I’m Victor Troy, along here with Randall Buckingham, and we have
arrived at the series finale of this show we call The Rebirth! And Randall,
with this final episode, it will mark 52 editions of this program!
Buckingham: And what a year’s worth of programming it’s been! I mean, the first
eight episodes were a little subpar, but starting in episode 9, when yours
truly arrived on the scene, things have picked up in a major way!
Troy: To be perfectly honest with you, after that first episode, I wasn’t sure
you’d last here another week! Yet here you still are!
Buckingham: Sure am, and tonight, we close this program out together!
Troy: And we’ll do it with a bang! Folks, this may be the final episode of The
Rebirth, but there’s no time to rest on our laurels, because even after this show
concludes, we’ll be keeping VERY busy for the next 11 days!
Buckingham: Absolutely! Go to PWATheRebirth.com for the full schedule, but you
can catch us at intimate locales all over Manhattan every single night until
October 20th, when we invade Citi Field for Everlasting Epic VIII!
Troy: It will be the final event in PWA history and also perhaps the greatest!
But folks, that’s in 11 nights. Tonight, we end The Rebirth with an absolutely
HUGE triple threat match between the three cornerstones of this organization!
For the first time ever, it will be Jason Calysto vs. Jaguar vs. Vulture!
Buckingham: On sheer name value alone, you can’t POSSIBLY get bigger than that!
And with Calysto and Jaguar preparing to enter the PWA Championship Seven
Deadly Sins match at EE8, while Vulture readies himself for Greg Tantalus and
Hell in a Cell, all three men could benefit from a tune-up at a high level of
competition!
Troy: Of course, Jason Calysto thought he’d be entering that match as the PWA
Champion, but Chase Stone defeated him last week in shocking fashion to retain
the gold!
Buckingham: I don’t think it’s shocking that he won, Troy, but I DO think it
was pretty surprising that Stone was able to do it by submission AND in
Calysto’s hometown of Brooklyn.
Troy: And squeaky clean at that, which just adds to the frustration with that
kid! Folks, we’ve got a tremendous show for you tonight, which includes a big
fatal fourway match for the PWA Women’s Championship that has significant
Everlasting Epic implications!
Buckingham: That’s right, Troy! Zina defends the gold against Morgan Day,
Lauren Tantalus, and her Everlasting Epic opponent Keiko Ishida. If either Zina
or Keiko score the first pin or submission in this match to walk away with the
gold, then nothing changes as far as EE goes. However, if either Morgan or
Lauren capture the title tonight, THEY would compete for the Women’s
Championship at Everlasting Epic, NOT Zina and Keiko!
Troy: We’ll also see a SIN vs. Absolved mixed tag team match as we draw ever closer
to EE8, with SIN’s Jackie Baccaro and Dee Licious teaming up to battle The
Absolved’s John Wolfe and Alexis Duval!
Buckingham: Texas Justice collides when Maddox Tate goes one-on-one with
Pitbull!
Troy: In a huge Everlasting Epic V rematch just 11 nights before they compete
for the Tag Team Championship at EE8, Bishop Cross takes on Dan Crowley!
Buckingham: And we’re of course live from Madison Square Garden tonight, the
site of EE5, where Crowley famously defeated Cross in a Buried Alive match and sent
him into exile!
Troy: Indeed we are! MSG has been sort of a second home for the PWA through the
years, hosting the very first Everlasting Epic as well, along with the series
premiere of this program!
Buckingham: But tonight, on the series finale, we’ll also see a six-man tag
team match that pits Solomon, Jon Dulberg, and the PWA Progressive Champion
Juan Pablo Alvarez against Asai Moon, Kerry Cox, and GI Jew!
Troy: And that’s not the only six-man tag we’ve got for you tonight! In fact,
let’s head down to ringside for tonight’s opening contest, a HUGE six-man tag
that will give you all a taste of what’s to come in 11 nights in the Seven
Deadly Sins match!

PWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION CHASE STONE, ANTHONY FAILLA & SHOWTIME DAMON
SAVAGE VS. EVAN BLACK, ROMEO & SCYTHE
Referee: Jose Soares
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back from commercial, we are in the interview area, where backstage reporter
Scott Cornelius is with Kemi Okoro, Paul Dawkins & Renegade.
Cornelius: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome
back to The Rebirth! My guests at this time are three individuals who’ve
developed quite the issue with Don Cerrone and The Hollywood Miracle. And of
course, at Everlasting Epic, it will be you, Paul Dawkins, and you, Renegade,
taking on The Hollywood Miracle, who will as always have Don Cerrone in their
corner. But this time, the playing field will be level because you, Kemi Okoro,
will be in the corner of these gentlemen. How does that change the odds?
Dawkins: Well Scott, any time you’re around Kemi Okoro, things seem a whole lot
better, so I love our chances.
Kemi turns to Paul and the two share a smile.
Kemi: You’re too kind, Paul. But it’s not
gonna be me that makes the difference. I’ll just be there to ensure that Don
Cerrone doesn’t stick his nose—
Suddenly, Renegade and Dawkins and both clobbered down from behind by
Hollywood Mike Griffin and The Miracle Mike Troha! Before Kemi even realizes
what’s happened, she’s grabbed by the Standard Sleaze Don Cerrone, who is
clearly enjoying this ambush.
Cerrone: Think about your next move VERY
carefully, Kemi. You’re outnumbered three to one.
Kemi: You’re gonna pay for this, Cerrone.
Cerrone: I really don’t think I will. You see what just happened? Your presence
distracted these guys and got them attacked. The same thing is gonna happen at
EE. And deep down, you know that’s true. Let’s go, gentlemen.
With that, Cerrone and The Hollywood Miracle walk off laughing, leaving a
flustered Kemi to check on Dawkins, then Renegade.

MATCH #2 – MADDOX TATE VS. PITBULL
Referee: Dan Martin
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
We return from break at ringside, with our commentators Victor Troy and Randall
Buckingham.
Troy: Alright ladies and gentlemen,
welcome back to The Rebirth! Now, in just a moment, we’re going to have
ourselves some SIN vs. Absolved mixed tag action, which should be very
interesting. But before we get to that, let’s take a minute to discuss the
leader of SIN, Greg Tantalus. Now Randall, with his Hell in a Cell match
against Vulture looming in just 11 nights at Everlasting Epic VIII, the word
backstage is that Tantalus has chosen not to show up to Madison Square Garden
tonight for The Rebirth.
Buckingham: That’s right, Troy. We’ve been told by SIN that Tantalus has chosen
to, and I quote, “protest Justin Schenck’s tyranny over this program by
physically boycotting its season finale.” So, long story short, Greg Tantalus
is not here tonight.
Troy: But folks, even though he’s not physically in the building, Tantalus
arranged for a camera crew to meet him on Long Island, where Tantalus was
instead enjoying a day at the races. Let’s take a look.
***
We
are now taken to a video of a horse race, with a graphic appearing on the
screen reading “earlier today.” During the race, the horse that jumps out to
the early lead is quickly overtaken by another horse, who cruises to a
spectacularly easy victory. As the race concludes, the camera pans back to
reveal Greg Tantalus seated several rows back. He then turns to the camera.
Tantalus: So, as you can see, I’m NOT
with all of you at Madison Square Garden tonight. I’ve instead chosen to spend
the day at Belmont Park and take in a few races. And you know, I can’t help it,
but just being here reminds me of the match I’m going to have with Vulture in
11 nights at Everlasting Epic. Did you all just see that race? The horse that
jumped out to the big lead early? That was a 20-1 longshot. And the horse that
bided his time and eventually took control, that was the favorite. 3-1 odds.
The longshot horse? He finished 18 lengths behind the winner. There’s a message
in there, Vulture. For every piece of Hollywood bullshit that celebrates the
underdog story, every instance in life where the underdog triumphs over
extremely long odds, results like you just saw are FAR more common. People call
you bold, courageous. I just call you foolish. When you’re locked inside Hell
in a Cell with me at Citi Field, you will be that horse with the 20-1 odds, and
I am that 3-1 favorite. This entire season, you have scored just ONE victory,
and it came last week in a six-man tag. But Vulture, I have been at the top of
my game this ENTIRE Rebirth Era. The first time we went to war at Everlasting
Epic, eight years ago, you were the clear favorite. But there’s no reason to
think you can win a Hell in a Cell match with me anymore. You’ll be lucky to
survive it.
The shot now cuts to just outside the stables at Belmont Park, where
Tantalus is walking.
Tantalus: Survival is an interesting
notion, isn’t it? We’re all hardwired to keep ourselves one step ahead of
death, to do whatever we have to in order to survive. But sometimes, you find yourself
in a situation where you bit off more than you can chew, something you didn’t
expect happens, and you’re done. It’s something these horses risk every single
time they race. One bad step, they could break a leg, and the next thing they
know, they’re getting put out of their misery right on the track. That’s why
horses only race when they’re young. That’s why the great ones are retired to
stud. Vulture, you should have been retired to stud. Because the Hell in a Cell
match, it’s that one last race that you definitely shouldn’t run. Not only
can’t you win this, but you’re gonna have to battle for survival. When you
tried to drown me in the Atlantic Ocean just a few miles from here, you raised
the stakes. You’ve forced my hand. And now, Vulture, when we compete at
Everlasting Epic, you’re GOING to take that bad step. And when you do, I’ll be
there to put you down, like the old, broken down animal you are. And the best
part about it is, when I do, thanks to the contract we’ve signed, I can’t be
held responsible. See you in 11 days, V.
The video then fades out.

MATCH #3 – MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH:
SIN [JACKIE BACCARO & DEE LICIOUS] VS. THE ABSOLVED [JOHN WOLFE &
ALEXIS DUVAL]
Referee: Matt Hansen
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back from break, we are taken to a wide shot that shows us part of the campus
of Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania, right outside the
university’s Beaver Stadium, with a graphic reading “last week.” As the shot
narrows, we focus on PWA broadcaster Nick Cade and the PWA World Heavyweight
Champion Chase Stone.
Cade: Welcome to another Seven Deadly
Sins spotlight. I’m Nick Cade, and today, we are at Penn State University, the
alma mater of the man to my left, the PWA Champion Chase Stone. Chase, thanks
for having us.
Stone: You’re welcome, but I don’t own Penn State. Though I might as well at
this point. It’s a big deal for this school to produce a world champion. I’m
pretty much Penn State’s favorite son right now.
Cade: Well, on that note, can you tell us where we’re standing right now?
Stone: We are standing in the location that used to house a statue of the late Joe
Paterno. You know JoePa, our legendary football coach.
Cade: I don’t think we need to get into the fall from grace of Joe Paterno, the
Jerry Sandusky scandal, or any of that in this segment.
Stone: Did you really think we were going to come here and not even mention it?
Cade: I was hoping.
Stone: Nick, I took you to this spot, and I mentioned JoePa’s name for a
reason. It’s because this school, my school, has fallen. It needs a hero to
pull it from the depths of despair. In this spot stood a statue of a man this
community revered as a god. But Nick, when the book is closed on my wrestling
career, in this very spot will instead stand a statue of Chase Stone. I will be
thought of around here with the same reverence that was once reserved for Coach,
only I will actually deserve it. I will never be stripped of my accolades, and
my name will never be tarnished. I am 24 years old, and Nick, I’m already the
best wrestler in the world. Can you imagine what they’ll say about me in a
decade? Two decades?
Cade: Now, let me preface this by saying that I am in no way suggesting that
what you did was in anywhere close to the same ballpark, but haven’t you
already fallen from grace? Isn’t what you said pretty delusional? You DID steal
that championship from Evan Black.
Stone: You’re STILL talking about Evan Black? Nick, that is yesterday’s news.
It doesn’t matter how you become champion. It only matters that you become champion.
And I did. And because I was champion, I got to defend that title last week
against Jason Calysto. In his hometown. And I beat him. In fact, not only did I
beat him, but I made him tap out. You know how many people have made Jason
Calysto tap out over the years?
Cade: Not many.
Stone: Not many! Nick, anything you want to say about my championship win over
Evan Black was made completely irrelevant by my sterling performance a week
ago. I proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am the true world champion.
Cade: I can’t imagine Evan Black would agree with that.
Stone: To be blunt, Evan Black can kiss my ass. Has he ever made Jason Calysto
tap out?
Cade: Well, he’s never even faced—
Stone: He needs to stop being a crybaby and get over it. If he’s got such a
problem with what happened, he can take it up with me in the Seven Deadly Sins
match.
Cade: Well, now that you mention it, there are a lot of people predicting that,
at some point during the Seven Deadly Sins match, Evan Black WILL get his hands
on you, and he WILL eliminate you.
Stone: Well then there’s gonna be a lot of people feeling pretty stupid on
October 20th. Saying that Evan Black will eliminate me makes the assumption
that I’m going to lose the Seven Deadly Sins match. Well, guess what? I’m NOT losing
Seven Deadly Sins. Everyone has been talking about Jaguar and Calysto. They’ve
been talking about Evan Black. They’ve been talking about Failla. Even
Showtime, Scythe, Romeo. But no one is talking about Chase Stone. How is that
even possible? How are you going to count out the PWA Champion?
Cade: Well, I think—
Stone: That was a rhetorical question, Nick. But it’s ok, I’m about done with
this interview. But I’ll leave you with this: Chase Stone is way bigger and way
better than the PWA. This is a dying company on its last breath. I am just
getting started. Winning the Seven Deadly Sins match, however, IS the next
stepping stone for me. And someday, Nick, you can come back to this very spot,
gaze upon my statue with reverence, and say you knew me when.
Cade: Mr. Stone, thank you for your time, and good luck at Everlasting Epic.
Stone: Thanks Nick, but I don’t need luck, and the pleasure has been all yours.
The interview then fades into a montage, set to Muse’s “Supremacy,” which
shows the PWA Champion training all over the Penn State campus. Utilizing an
even blend of weight training and cardio, Stone completes his workout with
ease, leading him to ramp up the intensity. The video then brings him to the
Penn State wrestling room, where he takes out a series of amateur wrestlers,
forcing the last of them to tap to the Triangle Hold. As Stone then smirks into
the camera, the video comes to a close.
***
We
now return to live action, where the PWA Champion Chase Stone is again
smirking, having just watched his spotlight video in a backstage hallway.
However, his smirk fades when he turns around to meet PWA creative director
Justin Schenck.
Stone: What now, Justin? What do you have
to say now? You thought you were gonna teach me a lesson last week, but I won.
I BEAT Jason Calysto. And now I just beat Evan Black! So what could you POSSIBLY
have to say now?!
Schenck: Listen Chase, I’m not out to screw you over. Was I disappointed in the
way you took the title from Evan Black? Of course I was. I still am. But I
didn’t book you in a defense against Calysto to punish you. I did it to
challenge you. And you rose to the challenge. So you deserve to be
congratulated for that. No one can take that victory away from you. And you
just pinned Evan Black again a few minutes ago, far less controversially this
time. So what can I say? You’re redeeming yourself.
Stone: Oh, I’m redeeming myself in your eyes. That means SO much to me.
Schenck: Chase, I—
Stone: Save it, Justin. The way I see it, you’re either on my side, or you’re
not. And a couple weeks ago, you proved what side you were on. But it doesn’t
matter. I’m the PWA World Heavyweight Champion. And when Everlasting Epic is
over, and I’ve won Seven Deadly Sins, this title will be mine for all eternity.
And there will be NOTHING you can do about it.
With that, Stone walks off, leaving an exasperated Schenck behind. However,
when Schenck turns around, he is startled to the find the Alaskan Monster
Solomon standing in his path.
Solomon: Don’t worry, Schenck. I’m not
gonna hurt you. I just wanted to make sure you watch my six-man tag team match
tonight. Because the carnage I leave behind in that ring tonight will echo the
carnage I’m going to cause at Everlasting Epic. I’m gonna take whatever two
people you dig up and destroy them, Schenck, and then I’m gonna do the same to
GI Jew. And even though no one thinks I can do it, I’m gonna go to the Seven
Deadly Sins match and beat eight other guys to become the final PWA Champion.
It was a good plan, I’ll give you that. But it’s gonna fail.
With that, Solomon shoves past Schenck exits. The creative director sighs
and heads back to his office as we go to commercial.
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back from break, we are in the interview area, where backstage reporter Traci
Reed is standing with the PWA International Champion Matthew Magellan and Jade.
Traci: Welcome back to The Rebirth! I’m
here right now with the International Champion Matthew Magellan and his
manager/girlfriend Jade—
Magellan: Hey, look at this! It’s me, my girlfriend, my EX girlfriend, and my
new love.
He then removes his title belt and holds it to the camera.
Magellan: This championship!
Traci: Yes. Well, let’s try to be professional. That was a long time ago.
Magellan is busy checking out his reflection in the championship belt and
has already forgotten about Traci. Jade nudges him.
Jade: Matt! We’re doing an interview,
remember?
Magellan: Right, right. You were saying, Traci?
Traci: I just wanted to get your thoughts on your title defense at Everlasting
Epic. You will, of course, be putting the title on the line in a six-man
elimination match. But Justin Schenck has ruled that no managers will be
allowed at ringside in either the International or Progressive title six-man
matches. Without the ability to have Jade in your corner at EE, how are you
going to retain your title?
Magellan: Well Traci, I—
Voice: He’s not.
The group turns around to see Jon Dulberg walking into view.
Dulberg: Without Jade, he’s NOTHING.
Magellan: If I’m nothing without Jade, then you’re less than nothing without
Briggsy. Who I was very proud of last week, by the way.
Dulberg: I’m not looking for your analysis, Magellan. I just came to warn you
about your future. Your reign WILL end at Everlasting Epic, and it will end at
my hands. And if you want a preview of your fate, watch what I’m about to do.
Magellan: Oh yeah? Well YOU watch what I’M about to do!
Magellan then starts a slow, exaggerated hip swivel right in Dulberg’s
face. The three-time International Champion simply shakes his head as Jade and
Traci struggle to contain their laughter in the background.
Dulberg: This isn’t a joke, Magellan.
You’re done.
Dulberg then exits, headed for the ring.

SOLOMON, JON DULBERG & PWA PROGRESSIVE CHAMPION JUAN PABLO ALVAREZ VS. GI
JEW, KERRY COX & ASAI MOON
Referee: Matt Hansen
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
As we return from commercial, we see backstage reporter Scott Cornelius standing
with the PWA Tag Team Champions The Soul Stealers.
Cornelius: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome
back to The Rebirth. I am here with the dominant Tag Team Champions The Soul
Stealers. Markus Krieg is to my left, and to my right is of course Bishop
Cross, who in just a few moments will head to ring to face Dan Crowley. Mr.
Cross what are your thoughts on this match tonight, along with your Everlasting
Epic title defense against Crowley and Rich Revis in a no holds barred match?
Cross: As I’m sure you’re aware, Dan Crowley and I have a bit of history in
this building. We are here in Madison Square Garden, the World’s Most Famous
Arena. This is the venue that hosted Everlasting Epic V, when I competed in a
Buried Alive match against a man then known as Speed Demon, a man I tortured
for well over a year. On that night, I was defeated. Several years later, PWA
was reborn, Speed Demon reinvented himself as Dan Crowley, and the rest is
history. The man that I competed against at EE5 is dead. He ceased to exist the
moment he experienced true success and happiness. He, along with his partner
Revis – a man I knew a Reaper – have become products of their successes. They
are weak and can no longer tap into the darkness that made them great. For that
reason, you will see a massacre tonight, just as Krieg massacred Revis last
week. And then, at Everlasting Epic, with our targets weakened and prone, you
will see an execution.
With that, Cross and Krieg exit, headed for the ring.

MATCH #5 – BISHOP CROSS VS. DAN CROWLEY
Referee: Jose Soares
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back from commercial, we are taken to the locker room, where Dan Crowley is
convalescing alongside Rich Revis. The two are sitting in the room, heads down,
dejected. It is completely silent. Then, finally, Revis speaks.
Revis: Maybe you just—
Crowley: Let’s not make excuses. I got my ass kicked.
Revis: And I got mine kicked last week.
Crowley: How could this be happening?
Revis: I don’t know. But I know this isn’t good.
Crowley: I know. I can’t figure it out.
The room is filled with several more moments of silence before Revis breaks
it again.
Revis: Did you ever think…
Crowley: What?
Revis: I don’t know. Do you think maybe Cross was right?
Crowley: Right how?
Revis: About the darkness. That we can’t beat them anymore because we can’t
embrace it.
Crowley: I don’t know.
Revis: Everything he said he was gonna do, he’s done. The last thing on that
list is destroy us at Everlasting Epic. And if you’ve watched our matches
against them, there’s no reason to think he won’t be right about that too.
Obviously, whatever we’re doing isn’t working.
Crowley: So what are you suggesting?
Revis: I’m suggesting we go out and find that darkness.
Crowley: (getting annoyed) The darkness isn’t something you can just whip up
whenever it’s convenient, Rich. The darkness is a state of being. It’s a state
we both left far in our past. It’s something we buried with Speed Demon, with
Reaper, with the Lost Souls.
Revis: Well, maybe it’s time we go digging.
Crowley: I’m not sure any of them exist anymore, Rich.
Revis: I think we’d better hope they do. Because I don’t think Dan Crowley and
Rich Revis can beat The Soul Stealers. Maybe… just maybe… The Lost Souls can.
Crowley looks up at Revis and stares at him incredulously, not saying a
word. Eventually, Revis nods at Crowley, reassuring him. Several moments later,
after taking the time to come to terms with it, Crowley nods back at Revis. The
camera then fades out.

MATCH #6 – PWA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP – FATAL FOURWAY ELIMINATION MATCH:
ZINA (champion) VS. KEIKO ISHIDA (challenger) VS. MORGAN DAY (challenger) VS.
LAUREN TANTALUS (challenger)
Referee: Dan Martin
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back from break, backstage reporter Scott Cornelius catches up with a dejected
Morgan Day.
Cornelius: Morgan! Morgan! Can I have a
word?
Morgan: Alright, Scott. Make it quick.
Cornelius: In that case, I’ll just ask it right away: what happened out there?
Morgan: Chalk it up to the confusion of a fatal fourway match. I was
preoccupied with Keiko and didn’t realize Zina had nailed Lauren with the
Siberian Express. When she went for the cover, I didn’t—
Just then, a screaming Lauren Tantalus enters the set, holding an ice pack
against the side of her head.
Lauren: You didn’t do ANYTHING!
Morgan: What the hell are you doing here?
Lauren: More than YOU did in our match, that’s for sure!
Morgan: I TRIED to bulldog Keiko into Zina to break up the pin and protect my
position! And I don’t have to answer to YOU about any of it! You’re the one who
was pinned!
Lauren: God, you just don’t get it, do you?! This was our chance, Morgan! This
was our chance to take our Everlasting Epic match and elevate it! This was our
chance to not be irrelevant! And you couldn’t even do THAT right!
Morgan: How am I being blamed for YOU being pinned?! And who says our match is
irrelevant?! We’re two of the greatest women’s champions in PWA history!
Lauren: Exactly! Yet our match is now number two out of two as far as EE
women’s matches go, and three out of three in SIN vs. Absolved matches! I
deserve better than this! Hell, YOU deserve better than this! This match should
be the biggest match in the history of the women’s division, but it’s not even
the biggest women’s match on this SHOW! And that’s all YOUR fault!
Morgan: AGAIN, I have NO idea how you can blame YOUR being pinned on ME!
Lauren: That’s not what I’m talking about, you idiot! You ruined it! You ruined
it by becoming boring, by becoming a wet blanket! Everything you are in this
company, I once was. I was the most popular woman on the roster, the valiant
Women’s Champion who would accept any challenge and topple all the competition.
Then I started getting serious concussions and had to walk away from the
business. With me gone, Keiko Ishida emerged and dominated this company. She
was unstoppable. Now granted, if I were healthy, I would have beaten her and it
all would have been a moot point. But I wasn’t. And YOU were the one who came
in and got the job done. And I remember watching you on television. You were
EXCITING. You were witty, defiant, edgy, courageous… you were everything that
this women’s division needed. I felt good about you carrying the torch I left
behind. But you gave that all up to become Mrs. Vulture, and you know it!
Morgan: EXCUSE me?!
Lauren: Don’t act all indignant now! Think about it! I was in the EXACT same
position as you. The last time Vulture was “going to retire,” I was his
girlfriend. I was also the Women’s Champion, at the very top of my game. He
wanted me to give ALL that up, to retire with him. Well, that was all well and
good for him, but I wasn’t ready to do that.
Morgan: So you betrayed him! You ruined his retirement match and caused him to
lose to your brother!
Lauren: I did what I had to do to protect my career, which is precisely what
you HAVEN’T done! I couldn’t help that concussions took me out of the game just
a few months after that, but you EASILY could have helped what happened to you.
God, I WISH I had the opportunities you had! Sure, when you walked away from
the business, it was because PWA had closed down, but you were still young!
Still in your prime! You could have latched on somewhere else! But you did
EXACTLY what I refused to do! You gave up your career to be a stay-at-home mom!
You allowed Vulture to transform you from compelling badass champion to boring
dutiful wife and mother!
Morgan: (furious) How do YOU know I didn’t WANT that?! You don’t know anything
about me! All my life, I searched for companionship, for a family. And then
when I found it, I was supposed to give it up?! You can’t put yourself in my
shoes! You still HAVE your parents! And you have NO idea what it’s like to be a
mother! I walked away because I wanted a family more than this!
Lauren: Then why did you come back for The Rebirth?
Morgan: (long pause) I came back—
Lauren: You came back because VULTURE insisted on coming back and you wanted to
keep an eye on him! Isn’t that right? Well, in the process of doing that, you
got saddled with two grown stepchildren you didn’t know about or want, and you
DESTROYED your legacy! Your main accomplishment in the Rebirth Era has been
allowing Zina to blow RIGHT past you for the dominant spot in this division!
Morgan: I BEAT her in a TLC match at Everlasting Epic—
Lauren: In your hometown of London. Yeah, yeah, I get it. And it was a great
match. But what I remember from that period of time is you selling out your
individuality to join SIN, and then Zina taking the momentum from your match to
become PROGRESSIVE Champion. What did YOU do? You lost the title cleanly to
Keiko, the same person you established dominance over in your first run!
Morgan: What gives you the right to say ANY of this to me?! What have YOU done since
YOU’VE been back?!
Lauren: Honestly, I came back for THIS, and now I’m not sure it’s even worth
it! I used to think you caused my concussion by dropping me on my head on
purpose. Now, I think it was just the fact that you’re careless. If you could be
so careless with your own legacy, why should I have expected you to hold my
safety and well-being in any higher regard?
Morgan: If you want a fight, then let’s bloody fight!
Lauren: We’ll have our fight at Everlasting Epic. I just wanted it to mean something.
But you know what the worst thing is? It’s not that you took my torch and then
willingly placed it on the ground to lay on a beach with Vulture and pop out a
baby. It’s that he doesn’t even have enough respect for you or your family to
make the kind of sacrifice you made for him.
Morgan: Why on EARTH would you say that?!
Lauren: Because I know Vulture. He doesn’t care about you, the Duvals, John
Wolfe, your little child at home, none of them. He only cares about himself. He
SAYS he cares. He might even believe it. But he will put his own selfish
interests ahead of yours EVERY SINGLE TIME. You really think he’s done after
Hell in a Cell? If he even SURVIVES! There’s a realistic chance he doesn’t walk
away from this. That he ends up in a wheelchair, or six feet underground. And
he’s SO consumed with revenge that I’m not sure at this point he even cares.
But if he DOES somehow survive it or maybe – just maybe – even finds a way to
win, something else will come up at some point down the road and he will be
back in the ring. He’s an addict, Morgan, and his drug is competition. You are
fooling yourself if you think the life you’ve made with him means more to him
than his next fix.
Morgan is speechless.
Lauren: But look, we can still salvage
this! We can go out there at Everlasting Epic and show everyone that Morgan Day
and Lauren Tantalus are the two anchors of the PWA women’s division, and we’ve
ALWAYS been the best! We can go to the ring at EE and steal the show! We can
FORCE people to care about us! Forget Vulture, forget my brother, forget SIN
and The Absolved. Hell, forget the Women’s Championship. With one great match,
we can change EVERYTHING! What do you say?
Lauren extends her hand and a pensive Morgan considers her proposal.
Finally, after a long pause, Morgan shakes it. However, Lauren promptly spits
in Morgan’s face! Shock and rage quickly fills Morgan’s visage and she lunges
at Lauren, who quickly flees. Morgan gives chase around a corner in the
backstage area, only to find James Biamonte standing in her way as Lauren ducks
into a dressing room.
Biamonte: Going somewhere?
Morgan: Out of my way, scumbag!
Biamonte: Oh, that reminds me. Jackie wants you to pass a message to Alexis.
Biamonte then grabs Morgan forcefully and plants a kiss on her, which sends
her into even more of a rage! Biamonte laughs wildly, giving Morgan an opening
to kick him with a low blow! However, this momentary distraction allows Lauren
to run out of the room she ducked into and break a lamp over Morgan’s head!
Morgan hits the ground, unconscious, as Lauren stands over her.
Lauren: NEVER trust a Tantalus.
Lauren then smirks and calmly walks away as we head to commercial.
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back
from break, we are in The Absolved’s dressing room. A furious Vulture is pacing
back and forth while a doctor tends to Morgan Day. John Wolfe and the Duval
Twins are also present.
Doctor: She’s suffered a concussion and a
few facial lacerations. I’d like to take her to the hospital for observation.
Vulture: I’m gonna kill him. I’m gonna kill them all.
Chris: Let us handle Biamonte. We’ll take care of him and Baccaro. And you know
Morgan is gonna bounce back from this and take care of Lauren. You just worry
about Tantalus.
Alexis: Are you guys SURE you can protect me from Jackie? I’m scared. I’m
scared to even leave the dressing room.
Wolfe: Relax, my beloved. We will protect you.
Alexis: But what about tonight? You couldn’t beat him tonight. No disrespect to
either of you, I love you both dearly, but Jackie Baccaro is one of the best in
the world, and he hates all of us. What if we can’t win?
Wolfe: I’ll never let him get to you, my love. As SOON as our match is over,
one of us will get you to safety, win or lose.
Alexis: You promise?
Chris: We promise.
Vulture now picks up the lamp in the dressing room and smashes it onto the
ground. Furious, he bursts out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
***
The
camera shifts to another portion of the backstage area, where Asai Moon is
talking with some backstage workers. However, he excuses himself when he
notices a smiling and immaculately dressed Saif al Abbad approaching.
Asai: Saif! How are you?
Saif: Asai, my friend! I’m feeling much better. I’m still not quite ready to
step into the ring, but I will be ready for Everlasting Epic. You can count on
that.
Asai: I am looking forward to competing against you.
Saif: Likewise. Between the unfortunate events of the fatal fourway and the
match we were supposed to have the week prior, I feel like we have missed out
on some great opportunities to compete. You were impressive in the ring
tonight. It would be—
Suddenly, both men are clubbed down from behind by Dexter P. Wellington and
the Progressive Champion Juan Pablo Alvarez! They stomp away on the popular
cruiserweights until Fenix Clarke joins the scene, going after Wellington and
Alvarez! Paul Epton then rushes over and joins in on the fray, after which Asai
and Saif get back to their feet and go after their assailants! The six men
continue brawling furiously until officials rush the scene to break them up as
we head to commercial.
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back from commercial, we see Morgan Day being loaded into an ambulance. Her
husband Vulture is by her side, holding her hand.
Vulture: You hang in there baby, alright?
I’ve gotta wrestle this match tonight, but I’ll head right to the hospital to
see you when I’m done.
Morgan: Can I ask you a question?
Vulture: Anything.
Morgan: Can you promise me you’re gonna come back to me in one piece after Hell
in a Cell? And that this is really it for you in the ring?
Vulture pauses for several moments before smiling warmly and responding.
Vulture: I love you, baby.
He then kisses her on the forehead just as she’s loaded into the ambulance.
Right before the doors shut, we can see a look of consternation on Morgan’s
face. Once the ambulance pulls away, the smile rapidly evaporates from
Vulture’s face and he walks off.

We
now return to ringside and our commentators, Victor Troy and Randall
Buckingham.
Troy: Alright folks, we’re just minutes
away from the final match in the history of The Rebirth! But of course, this
will not be the PWA’s final Tuesday night appearance on the NOW Network.
Because one week from tonight, we will be LIVE from world-famous Carnegie Hall,
right here in Manhattan, for the Rebirth Awards!
Buckingham: That’s right, Troy! The categories and nominees were tweeted out by our official Twitter account
this past Friday, and you can check them out on our website, but it’s sure to be a tremendous evening!
Troy: And, as we announced last week, the ceremony will be hosted by PWA Hall
of Famer Mike Tortorici, which adds an extra level of excitement! But folks,
this is all just a prelude to Saturday night, October 20th, when the PWA
invades Queens, New York’s Citi Field for Everlasting Epic VIII!
Florence
+ The Machine’s “Breath of Life” now hits the speakers, playing in the
background as our commentators speak.
Buckingham: It’ll be the final show in
PWA history, and it’s certainly shaping up to be a grand finale!
Troy: Indeed it is! Folks, in our main
event, the PWA World Heavyweight Championship will be defended one last time,
and it’ll be defended in the PWA’s signature match! Eight of the top stars in
PWA history will head to Citi Field on October 20th in an attempt to walk away
the final PWA Champion in history! It’ll be the controversial champion Chase
Stone and the former champ Evan Black, along with six PWA Hall of Famers: Jason
Calysto, Jaguar, Anthony Failla, Showtime Damon Savage, Romeo, and Scythe, all
competing for the ultimate honor!
Buckingham: And in an environment like Seven Deadly Sins, ANYTHING can happen!
You can go to PWATheRebirth.com for the complete rules, but in a nutshell, these eight men compete over
seven different falls, or the Seven Sins. In each Sin, one man is eliminated,
with the stipulations for elimination growing more and more dangerous as the
match progresses. It’s the ultimate test of resilience, stamina, courage, and
intestinal fortitude, and only one man can survive it!
Troy: Very true! But Randall, can Vulture survive Hell in a Cell against Greg
Tantalus?!
Buckingham: Troy, I have no idea, but if he doesn’t, the PWA’s parent company
will not be held accountable, because both men have signed hold-harmless
agreements!
Troy: Indeed they have! It’s the ultimate culmination to the long, ongoing war
between SIN and the group now calling itself The Absolved. But this certainly
won’t be the only collision between these two factions at EE8!
Buckingham: No, it won’t! The Absolved’s Morgan Day will go one-on-one with
SIN’s Lauren Tantalus, and it appears she’ll now have to do it while recovering
from a concussion!
Troy: Plus SIN members Jackie Baccaro and James Biamonte join forces to take on
The Absolved’s John Wolfe and Chris Duval, with Dee Licious and Alexis Duval in
their respective corners!
Buckingham: But that’s only scratching the surface! In a match with no
count-outs and no disqualifications, The Soul Stealers – Bishop Cross and
Markus Krieg – put the PWA Tag Team Championship on the line against Dan
Crowley and Rich Revis, and Troy, it sure sounded like we might see The Lost
Souls!
Troy: Time will tell! But folks, after weeks of hounding Justin Schenck to let
him into the Seven Deadly Sins match, Solomon is going to have his opportunity!
If he can defeat two mystery opponents and GI Jew in succession, he will be
added to the Seven Deadly Sins match as an unprecedented ninth entrant!
Buckingham: Zina goes one-on-one with
Keiko Ishida for the PWA Women’s Championship!
Troy: Matthew Magellan puts the International title up for grabs against Jon
Dulberg, Michael Grieco, Maddox Tate, Pitbull, and the Hardcore Icon Kerry Cox
in a six-man elimination match!
Buckingham: The Progressive Championship will also be defended in a six-man
elimination bout, as Juan Pablo Alvarez defends against Saif al Abbad, Fenix
Clarke, Paul Epton, Dexter P. Wellington, and Asai Moon!
Troy: Plus, The Hollywood Miracle, with Don Cerrone in their corner, will take
on Paul Dawkins and Renegade, with Kemi Okoro in theirs!
Buckingham: And before we go on the air, we’re gonna have a pre-show bonus
match! In a five-woman gauntlet match, we’ll see Dee Licious, Alexis Duval,
Jade, Ana Maria Linares, and Kemi Okoro go at it!
Troy: Folks, we’re now just 11 nights away from the PWA’s final hour, and it’s
shaping up to be perhaps the biggest night in this company’s history! Keep
checking the Everlasting Epic mini-site for more updates, along with next Tuesday night at
the Rebirth Awards. But folks, it’ll be here before we know it! Everlasting
Epic VIII, live from Citi Field in Queens, New York, on Saturday, October 20th!
But before we get to any of that, it’s time to close our series finale with a
bang! Our triple threat main event is just minutes away, but let’s first take a
look at our final Seven Deadly Sins spotlight! Ladies and gentlemen, this is
Jaguar!
***
We
are taken to Jacksonville, Florida, where a graphic reading “last week” is
displayed on the screen. The camera pans downward, finding Nick Cade in front
of a bronze statue of a large jaguar. As the shot widens, he is revealed to be
at EverBank Field, in the center of the River City's downtown area.
Cade: Hello ladies and gentlemen. I’m Nick Cade, and it's time for our final
Seven Deadly Sins spotlight. This time, my assignment brings me to EverBank
Field. This is the home of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, but the PWA audience
might remember it as the setting for the amazing Everlasting Epic VI back in
August of 2010. Our resident Jacksonville native, also Jaguar, has asked us to
meet him here inside the stadium. Let's go do just that and find the five-time
PWA Champion.
The shot fast forwards to Cade and the camera crew being led into the bowl
of the stadium, where Jaguar is furiously running up and down steps and between
rows of the massive structure. Upon seeing Cade, he stops and summons our
interviewer to one of the seats in section 141, as he grabs a bottle of water,
and then a seat near Cade.
Cade: Jag, thank you
for having us. And this location has tremendous significance, being the site of
your sixth Everlasting Epic victory, a triumph over Michael Grieco two years
ago.
Jaguar: Thanks for
coming, Nick. Everlasting Epic here… it was a great night for the company. For
me though, I consider EverBank the scene of the crime.
Cade: Scene of the
crime? I don’t understand.
Jaguar: Nick, when I
found out in 2009 that the PWA would be returning, I was still its champion.
Retired and living life here, but still champion. Well, after I signed back on
with the company to defend my title, discussions turned to selecting a venue
for Everlasting Epic VI. Long story short, I met with the higher-ups and
pitched this city and this stadium for that spot, and whatever I said, it
worked. We landed the biggest show of the year, the return of Everlasting Epic
after four years. Well, when the day finally arrived, the city did its part,
the PWA did its part, and I didn't do mine.
Cade: In what way?
There were 80,000 of your fans here that would likely disagree with you, and
I'm sure Michael Grieco would too.
Jaguar: Sure, those
fans here were entertained and we had a great fight, but I shortchanged those
same people too. Nick, this was supposed to be MY Everlasting Epic. I got this
thing here, and I promised my people I would take that title into EE and defend
it. A win under those circumstances would have made me 6-0 at EE, with absolutely
nothing left to prove. But along the way, I got so caught up in that idea that
I took my eyes off the prize. I stumbled out of the starting blocks and lost the
title to Anthony Failla, and it was that chump carrying my title into this
building. It ate at me. Sure, I had a great fight with Michael Grieco. But
disrespect intended, it was Michael Grieco. Here was a guy who has wasted his
potential from day one, and I was busy tussling with him instead of competing
in the main event of the biggest wrestling event in my city’s history.
Cade: Is that what led to your decision to retire at the beginning of Season Two
of the Rebirth?
Jaguar: Yes it is. I
went home that offseason depressed about how my season turned out. And to put
it into a little perspective, my best match of that season wasn't even
nominated for Match of the Rebirth Era. It was beneath the standard I'd set for
myself and my fans. I was beaten and banged up, and I let myself get out of
shape. Mentally, I was done. I figured the timing was right to just walk
away.
Cade: And then Texas
Justice entered.
Jaguar: Right, and
when they put me out, that was a situation that was more about defending my
pride and dignity than anything else. Romeo came back, and we did what we set
out to do, which was defend our legacy. But it was just another obstacle that
took me out of the game as far as reclaiming the PWA title.
Cade: When did you
decide on becoming refocused?
Jaguar: The Symphony
of Destruction this year. When I drew third before the show began, I knew the
odds were long. But it was a match I'd won before, and this was a match that
had Jaguar in it, for the PWA Championship. In my eyes, it was a longshot, but
my only shot, and I went right after it. But I came up short, and when I got
back home here I decided it was time to really get after it again. Just six
years ago, I'd won the biggest match in this company's history, Everlasting
Epic V with The Iceman. The only thing stopping me from me from doing it again
was myself. So during the break, in the dead of summer heat, I came right
here.
Cade: The scene of
the crime.
Jaguar: Exactly. I
had to come back here to remind myself of just how much I'd lost, to know what
the price was to regain it. I came here and started working with Mike Ryan, the
team trainer, and we got the wheels back in motion before the players reported.
After they reported, I got on a training program down in Bradenton at IMG,
where some of the top athletes train, and I was moving towards being in the
best shape of my career. Each week, I go down there and train and then fly out
of Tampa to whichever city we’re in next. Better airport there than here.
Cade: Fair enough.
Well, we are definitely here to follow your training both here in Jacksonville
and in Bradenton, so we are along for the ride.
Jaguar: Alright, let’s
head out.
The shot then
forwards to Jaguar sitting behind the wheel of his car and Cade in the
passenger seat, as a portable camera up front documents their conversation from
I-10 to I-75.
Jaguar: This is the
not-so-glamorous part of the ride, Nick. Four hours of trees.
Cade: That's fine, no
worries here. Now Jag, in all the time I've known you, nobody has had such a
big connection to their city like you do with Jacksonville. It shocked me a bit
to hear that you felt you let the city down.
Jaguar: I kinda did,
Nick. We already have one set of Jaguars letting us down most of the time. These
people didn't need me doing it too. (Laughs)
Cade: Speaking of, I’ve
always meant to ask you, did you really name yourself after the football team?
Jaguar: Of course
not. I had the name back in New York. It was given by a fine Greek girl after
she said I did it like—
Cade: Ok, we can
deduce the rest!
Cade and Jaguar share a laugh.
Cade: Now, another thing we meant to follow up on was your recent change in
attire. You never did get around to explaining the new colors.
Jaguar: Ok, so when I
began my career, my colors were green and black. Before I came out in Jax that
night, that Drake song spoke about getting back to old ways, and the attire was
a part of that for me. But the deeper meaning in it was that dark green and
gold were my grandmother's favorite colors, and I wanted to find a way to honor
her memory after losing her in 2010. No big deal, just a subtle way to say I'm
getting back on my hustle. And I'm hustling hard, Nick.
Cade: As your newest
tune states. Now tell me more about your opponents in Seven Deadly Sins. Can
you begin with Anthony Failla?
Jaguar: What more is
there to be said? He doesn't like me, and I don't like him. He and I actually share
a birthday, and I think he's just pissed off that I kick his ass in the game of
life. I guarantee you he will not get over on me again in Seven Deadly Sins.
Guarantee it.
Cade: How about Romeo
and Scythe?
Jaguar: Both great
friends. Romeo is really like a blood brother to me, man. That's well
documented. But when that bell sounds, it’s all about finding out who the best
really is. With Scythe, he and I aren't as close anymore. He does his thing and
I do mine, but I’ve always had a deep-rooted, tremendous respect for him and
his success. We have torn it down together in so many places, man. Most of ‘em
never hit TV, but he and I have had some classics. Great competitor.
Cade: How about
Showtime Damon Savage?
Jaguar: (Laughs) A
guy who thinks he's a lot better than he really is. He may be a Hall of Famer,
but if he spent less time pumping up his own ego and more time working on his
craft, he could be the all-time legend he claims he is. But he's too wrapped up
in himself. He's fine with everyone hating him now, and I think at some point
down the road, he'll realize he's on the wrong path. But right now, he's too
full of hate, and it will cost him.
Cade: How about two
guys we’ve not really seen you work with much, Evan Black and the PWA Champion
Chase Stone?
Jaguar: Well, a lot
of people might not know it, but I've followed each for some time. All three of
us come out of Pennsylvania colleges, just many years apart. But I watched
Black compete at UPenn, and I knew then he had what it took to make a career
out of this if he wanted to. I see a lot of myself in Evan. He knows he's good
enough to not need to cheat to win.
Now Chase… man, that
kid has all the tools. Like a five-tool player in baseball really, but the
frustrating thing with him is he will shortcut a guy when he doesn't have to,
and it makes me lose respect for him. He and I had a great match in Philly this
year, a Temple vs. Penn State kinda thing, after I issued a friendly challenge
on Twitter. He always treated me with respect, and we had a great match that I
won by a hair, but now he's a changed guy. The title can do that to you, Nick.
The desire to be PWA Champion can make you crazy, and we're seeing that to two
different extremes with those guys. Great competitors, but they haven't been in
the SDS before. And man, Citi Field is the WRONG place to have your first.
Cade: Well there's
one man left, and you obviously know him extremely well. Of course I’m talking
about The Iceman Jason Calysto.
Jaguar: Ah, my old
friend. Jason is a guy I have infinite respect for, and that won't ever change.
I did his Hall of Fame induction, and it was one of the biggest honors I've
ever had bestowed upon me. Outside the ring, we are a lot alike, low key guys
who have been friends. But in between those ropes, it’s a whole different story.
The thing about Jay is I think he’s
put off by my level of success against him. I beat him to win my first heavyweight
title back in CAW, and it was a title he would never regain. In PWA, I won a
match against him and GI Jew to win my third PWA Championship before he reached
his second, and he cheated me later that week to steal it back. And then of
course at EE5, I beat him to win my fifth PWA title. But when you think about
it, I have a better record against The Iceman than just about anybody else in big-time
matches. This Everlasting Epic will only continue that history.
Cade: Do you feel
this is the cause of some tension between you two?
Jaguar:
Professionally, it’s a part of it. But my end of it comes from looking at his
legacy and how highly it is regarded, which it should be. However, I don’t feel
mine isn't held in the same regard anymore. A few weeks back, we heard Chase
and Evan arguing over who would be the next Jason Calysto, and not once did
Jaguar's name come up. That's why I hustle, Nick. I'm not done proving that I
am the best of all time. I'm the only man in this business to ever beat both
Calysto AND Vulture for the world championship, and I’m gonna beat them again
on Tuesday night. We’re all on the Mount Rushmore of this place, but a win at
Everlasting Epic to go to 8-0 and win the PWA Championship an unprecedented
sixth time… I’ll challenge you to find me ANYONE with a more impressive resume.
Cade: And this drives
you enough to put it all on the line at Seven Deadly Sins, a month removed from
your 45th birthday?
Jaguar: Without a
doubt. I already know this will be my final match. I'm not lacing another boot
after October 20th, and I'm ok with that. I've had triumphs and letdowns, rises
and falls, and my own PWA Rebirth. But come Everlasting Epic, I put it in a
gear that no one else ever has or ever will. I just have to do it one more time
to cement my legacy, and people will talk about me the same way they talk about
The Iceman. Even though my resume shows that I'm the only six-time world champion
in PWA history, the only seven-time PWA Tag Team Champion, the only man to hold
over 10 PWA titles period, there is still proving left to be done. And Nick, Everlasting
Epic has ALWAYS been my proving ground.
As the conversation
ends, the car pulls up to the IMG Training Facility, home to multiple NFL training
professionals and Jon Gruden's famed Quarterback Camp. Wearing a green and gold
“Hustle Hard” t-shirt, the former champion begins his regimen. With Drake's “Over
My Dead Body” slowly playing, a video montage displays Jaguar lifting weights
from the bench for strength, plyometric boxes for leg explosion, and pool
exercises for stamina and endurance. In each shot, we can see that the numerous
TVs around the gym show a loop of his Everlasting Epic V victory, driving home
the realization that Jaguar will train harder than ever to top his
greatest triumph at Everlasting Epic VIII.

MATCH #7 – TRIPLE THREAT MATCH:
JAGUAR VS. THE
ICEMAN JASON CALYSTO VS. VULTURE
Referee: Tom Stevens
Referee Tom Stevens immediately calls for the bell as Anthony Failla and
Showtime Damon Savage do a vicious number on Jaguar and Calysto, prompting the
MSG crowd to boo vociferously. However, they aren’t in control for long, as Da
Playboi Romeo and the Modern-Day Samurai Scythe rush out to the ring! Romeo
begins slugging away on Failla while Scythe peppers Showtime with chops! Romeo
slugs away on Failla, ultimately gaining the advantage as Jaguar gets back to
his feet! However, Failla nails Romeo and Jaguar with double low blows and uses
the opportunity to flee the ring and escape through the crowd!
Meanwhile, Showtime dazes Scythe with a hard fist, giving him a window to slip
out of the ring. Scythe goes out after him, but Showtime gets the upper hand…
until Jason Calysto gets to his feet and dives through the ropes, taking out
both men!
In the ring, Romeo and Jaguar slowly get to their feet, before looking around
and finding only each other in the squared circle. With the audience cheering,
the former Hot Boy$ begin circling each other!
Troy: Is it gonna happen?! Are The Hot
Boy$ about to square off?!
Before we can learn the answer to that question, the PWA Champion Chase
Stone rushes out to the ring and clocks Jaguar in the back with the title belt,
flooring him to a chorus of boos! Romeo then comes after Stone, but the
champion is able to gain the advantage with a thumb to the eye. Stone waits for
Romeo to turn around, preparing to bash him in the face with the gold, but
before he can do that, Evan Black runs out to the ring and grabs it from him!
Troy: Do it, EB! Hit him with the damn
belt!
The fans are cheering loudly as Stone begs Black not to hit him with the
belt. Black threatens to do just that, prompting Chase to back up right into
Romeo, who lifts Stone right onto his shoulders! With the fans at a fever
pitch, a recovered Jaguar climbs to the top rope and completes the Heatwave one
last time, nailing the PWA Champion! A stupefied Stone stumbles to his feet,
prompting Evan Black to drop the title belt and set up for the Blackout!
However, before he can hit it, Stone tumbles through the ropes and falls to the
outside of the ring!
On the outside, a revitalized Showtime has Calysto in a precarious position,
his head sandwiched between the steel steps and the ringpost! He prepares to
kick the steps and crush his head, but Scythe recovers and begins wailing away
on Showtime! Savage and Scythe then battle to the backstage area as we turn our
attention back to the ring, where Jaguar has picked up the PWA Championship
belt and is staring at it longingly!
Jaguar isn’t allowed alone time with the belt for long, before Evan Black and
Romeo close in on him. The three stare each other down intensely, before
Anthony Failla rushes back over the barricade and into the ring with a
vengeance! He nearly takes Romeo’s head off with a violent clothesline that
knocks him to the arena floor, before drilling Black with a big boot that sends
him sailing over the top rope and to the outside!
Buckingham: Look at the ring now! It’s just
Jaguar and Failla!
There is a buzz throughout Madison Square Garden as Jaguar and Failla
prepare to engage in battle. Jaguar is still clutching the championship belt,
but Failla doesn’t seem concerned. Finally, Jaguar tosses the belt to the mat
and goes at Failla with fists alone, setting off a tremendous back-and-forth
slugfest between the two!
The title belt, however, rolls to the outside of the ring, right in front of
Chase Stone, who scoops it up, cradling it like a lost child. However, when he
gets to his feet, he sees Jason Calysto standing right in front of him! Stone
tries to talk his way out of a confrontation, but Calysto keeps coming.
Finally, Stone simply takes off for the back, and The Iceman gives chase to
Chase!
Meanwhile, in the ring, the battle between Jaguar and Failla only continues to
grow in intensity, finally necessitating the arrival of officials from the back
to break them up amid loud cheers!
Buckingham: What a chaotic scene!
Troy: It is indeed, but folks, we’re out of time! It’s been an amazing three
seasons here on The Rebirth, and I can’t believe they’ve flown by this quickly!
Be sure to join us next Tuesday night for the Rebirth Awards, and of course,
live on pay-per-view in 11 nights for the PWA’s grand finale, Everlasting Epic
VIII! But folks, for Randall Buckingham, this is Victor Troy signing off! This
has been PWA: The Rebirth! We hope you’ve enjoyed it! Goodnight, everybody!
