Segment 1 – Opening

The PWA logo flashes onto the screen before the opening for Overdrive takes over. With “All My Life” by The Foo Fighters blaring, we are taken inside the E Center, where a big fireworks display ensues before the camera finds our commentators.

Cade: Hello everybody and welcome to PWA Overdrive! I’m Nick Cade, alongside Justin Schenck, and boy, do we have a show to deliver tonight!

Schenck: We sure do! Get this main event Nick, Jason Calysto and Mike Tortorici against Loki and The Machine right here tonight!

Cade: We’ll also see Steve Beovich face Paul Dawkins one-on-one! We’ve got a lot to go over tonight, but let’s get up to the ring for our first match!

Segment 2, Match 1 – 7-Any Power vs. Justice

Referee: Dan Martin

7-Any Power stands in the ring with referee Dan Martin as the remixed version of Limpbizkit's "Rollin'" hits the speakers. Justice steps out to a warm ovation, but looks extremely intense as he stalks to the ring.

The bell sounds and Power tries to lock up with Justice. Justice easily shrugs him off, but the smaller Power comes right back to lock up again. Power knees Justice in the side, gaining not much of an effect. He backs Justice to the ropes and whips him, but the big man reverses it and crushes him with a boot to the face! Justice looks up and calls for the Blind Justice powerbomb!

Cade: He's gonna powerbomb him early right here!

Schenck: Poor 7-Any Power. He never had a chance.

Justice sets Power up for the bomb and slams him down with immense impact! Justice barely covers for an academic 1---2---3!

Cade: If I were Infernus, I'd be afraid right now.

Schenck: And with no DQs, I'd be very afraid.

Winner via pinfall at 2:09 - Justice

Segment 3 – Backstage

We are taken backstage, where the crowd sees Steve Beovich heading to the ring. Another camera angle shows Paul Dawkins doing the same, but the fans look on in excitement and confusion once Scythe appears, also heading to the ring!

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Segment 4 – Backstage

A camera is set backstage, where Justice is walking after his dominance of 7-Any Power. Justice turns a corner, walking right into The Machine.

Machine: Well kid, that was a helluva show out there.

Justice: Thanks.

Machine: Now I want to see the same intensity and dominance from you on Saturday, when you put that punk Infernus out.

Justice: Oh, I’ll bring that to him. But Machine, I want you to do me a favor.

Machine: Whats that?

Justice: In your match tonight, show me how it’s done big man.

Machine: (Smiling) You’ve got it kid. You’ve got it.

Segment 5, Match 2 – The Omega Steve Beovich vs. Paul Dawkins

Referee: Matt Hansen

"Wth> You" by Linkin Park hits the PA system and the crowd instinctively rises to their feet. After a few seconds, Scythe steps through his familiar smoke to a big pop from the fans, and heads down to the announce table, where he puts his International Title down and puts a headset on.

Cade: Welcome Scythe, but you're not known for doing much talking. What brings you out here tonight?

Schenck: Yeah, you never talk and you probably never should, so why are you here?

Scythe: Well I usually do my talking in between the ropes, but I'm out here because I need to scout the two men in this match.

Cade: Are you worried that either could take your title at Walking Wounded without even beating you?

Scythe: Not at all. I have great respect for every one of my opponents, but I know I can cut any of them down to size in order to keep this belt.

"More Human than Human" by White Zombie hits, signaling a chorus of boos for The Omega Steve Beovich's arrival. As Beovich warms up in the ring, "Move Bitch" by Ludacris, Mystikal and I-20 takes over, and a deafening pop ensues for Paul Dawkins as he walks down to the ring.

Schenck: Listen to this crowd! Why are they cheering Dawkins this much?!

Cade: You've gotta do your homework Justin. Paul served in the U.S.Air Force, right here in Utah. It’s like a homecoming of sorts.

Schenck: But its Paul Dawkins.

Scythe: Listen, Paul Dawkins is one of the most underrated guys in this business. That’s why I'm out here, to see what he can do against Beovich.

The bell sounds and both men lock up. Dawkins muscles Beovich backwards, but the former International champion drops down and floors him with an arm drag. Dawkins gets up, but finds the cocky Beovich jumping around the ring, taunting him.

Cade: This isn't a good move by Beovich here.

Schenck: He said Dawkins had no shot at winning next Saturday, and I think he wants to prove it tonight.

They lock up again and Beovich maintains his edge with a knee to the ribs. He clubs Dawkins in the back and whips him to the ropes, but Dawkins reverses and connects with a clothesline! Beovich gets up but Dawkins chops him hard and Irish whips him. Beovich bounces off and Dawkins gains complete control with a high back body drop! Beovich gets up, reeling into the ropes before Dawkins charges and clotheslines him over the top!

The crowd quiets as Dawkins goes after Beovich on the outside, but they groan collectively once Beovich yanks him by the tights right into the ringpost! Dawkins falls to the floor in a heap, allowing Beovich ample time to regain his senses. Beovich rolls Dawkins back into the ring and drops an elbow on him. He covers for one...two...and a kickout. The Omega shrugs it off and lifts Dawkins up before nailing him with a picture-perfect belly-to belly suplex. Beovich doesn't look for a cover, instead turning his attention to Scythe at ringside.

Scythe: What the hell does he want?

Cade: He's looking dead at you for some reason Scythe.

Schenck: Wait a second. He's climbing to the top, and I think he's about to use your move champ!

Beovich points at Scythe and then smirks to the crowd as he connects with a Diving Blade moonsault! Beovich covers for 1---2---and Dawkins gets a shoulder up! Beovich doesn't seem fazed at all and signals for Extreme Precision. He leans over the top rope and jaws with Scythe, but Dawkins sneaks behind him and grabs him for the Sweetness! Beovich kicks around, but Dawkins grip is too tight as he drills The Omega right into the canvas! Dawkins hooks a leg and Hansen counts one...two...three!

Cade: Dawkins wins it!

Schenck: No thanks to Scythe either!

Cade: I like how you wait till he leaves to say that.

Dawkins leaves to a raucous ovation but Beovich comes to in the ring and heads after Scythe as he is exiting! Scythe comes back and both men scuffle until it is broken up by PWA security.

Winner via pinfall at 7:36 - Paul Dawkins

Segment 6 – Backstage

We are taken backstage, to the locker room of Jason Calysto and Mike Tortorici, where both men are preparing for their upcoming match.

Calysto: You ready?

Tortorici: Born ready. You know that better than anybody.

Calysto: You know something Mike? I can’t stand you.

Tortorici: Oh it’s definitely mutual. I’d rip your head off in a second.

Calysto: Over these past few years, you and I have had some brutal, bloody wars and I think I can say I respect you.

Tortorici: I know you can. You’ve almost earned mine as well, but you’re not there yet. We’ve got The Machine and Loki out there, and all you need to do is follow my lead.

Calysto: Follow you? Look, Loki is a pushover and who knows Corritone better than I do?

Tortorici: I know Corritone too, but between the both of us, you don’t know The Machine yet. You think about that. I’ll see you out there.

Segment 7 – Backstage

A camera is right behind the curtain, where Tracie Reed is standing by with a sweaty Paul Dawkins.

Reed: Paul, you returned to Utah tonight in what was an impressive win over Steve Beovich. How do you feel?

Dawkins: I feel good Tracie. I feel like I proved that I can hang with anybody around here and that was a 1-2-3 to back it up. Come Saturday, I’ll prove it again to become the International Champion.

Dawkins turns his head as a steel chair crashes against it! The camera pans right, showing Mike Grieco now standing over him with the weapon in hand!

Grieco: You haven’t proved a damn thing. That title is mine!

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Segment 8 – Jumbotron

Tea Party's "Walking Wounded" hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads "PWA Walking Wounded Report."  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O'Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Walking Wounded logo.

Segment 9 – Ringside

Cade: Thanks to Ron O’Brien for the Walking Wounded report, but lets shift gears to the World Title match, where Mike Griffin defends against Vulture.

Schenck: That is going to be amazing, to say the least. But what about the latest twist that saga took on Tuesday?

Cade: It was Greg Tantalus, in his hometown of Denver, facing Mike Griffin for the PWA Title. What we saw at the end of this was downright disgusting. Roll the footage guys.

Tantalus runs over to the corner, but as he steps up on the ropes, Griffin hops off his perch onto the apron, before quickly stepping into the ring, and release German suplexing Tantalus off the middle rope!  The crowd is absolutely stunned as Griffin signals for the High Diving Moonsault, a fire in his eyes!  Griffin reaches his perch once again!  However, he is blind to an incoming Vulture, who the referee is helpless to stop as he smashes Griffin over the back with a steel chair.  Griffin slumps off of the corner, onto his back, where Vulture is waiting for him.

Vulture delivers another chair shot as the referee signals the DQ bell, and demands the arrival of officials.  Meanwhile Tantalus produces his own chair, and joins in on Vulture's fun.  The fans remain anxious with confusion, completely uncertain as to how to react to this.  The commentators however, have other ideas.

Troy:  It was all a setup!

Ferrara:  What are you talking about?  Of course it was a setup!  Tantalus was in trouble so Vulture--

Troy:  No there's more to it than that!  The tension in SIN!  It was all a ruse!  An elaborate farce to curb Griffin's estimation of their strength!  Now the champion is taken out and softened up for Vulture at Walking Wounded!

Troy and Ferrara continue to speculate on the fate of PWA World Champion Mike Griffin, as Greg Tantalus, and the man he defends his title against next Sunday, Vulture, stand over him, arms raised, as the camera fades to black.

Cade: Well after that assault, Mike Griffin’s status is questionable for Walking Wounded. We don’t know if he’ll be able to wrestle in Phoenix.

Schenck: Wrestle? Who says he’ll show in Vegas in Tuesday at all?!

Segment 10, Match 3 – Jason Calysto and Mike Tortorici vs. The Machine and Loki

Referee: Tom Stevens

Lee Palmer waits in the ring with a microphone as "Requiem" by the legendary Mozart creeps into the arena.

Palmer: The next tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from New York City, weighing 231 pounds, Miiiiike Tortorici!

Tortorici arrives to a hugely negative fan reaction, which is nothing new to the living legend. Oasis' "F*ckin' In The Bushes" hits next, bringing out a legend in his own right.

Palmer: And his partner, making his way to the ring from New York, New York, and weighing 215 pounds, he is The Iceman Jasonnnnn Calystooooo!

Calysto arrives to easily the loudest jeers of the night, but The Iceman looks focused as ever for a crack at The Machine. He climbs in across the ring from Tortorici and they wait as "Edge Of The Earth" by 30 Seconds To Mars hits. Loki comes out to a good pop of his own, but he also wastes no time in sliding in the ring to Tortorici! Loki tackles him to the ground, but that's about as far as he gets once Calysto clubs him in the back of the neck. Calysto and Tortorici dominate Loki as Palmer flees, but then "H-K" by Fear Factory begins.

The Machine rushes out to a huge crowd explosion and both Calysto and Tortorici make their exits before The Machine can touch them!

Cade: Look at them now, running like cowards!

Schenck: Not the case at all! This was a brilliant move by Calysto and Tortorici. They are allowing The Machine's intensity and adrenaline to lower before they get in the ring with him. Would you want to face him this way?

Cade: Duly noted.

The bell sounds with Calysto starting off against Loki. They lock up and Calysto takes him in a headlock. Loki backs to the ropes and shoves Calysto off. The Iceman hits the ropes and Loki decks him with a shoulder block! Calysto backs to his corner and reaches up, tagging in Tortorici.

Cade: Here we go, Walking Wounded preview right here!

Tortorici and Loki come face to face in the middle of the ring and Loki swings the first shot. Tortorici responds with another, and both men quickly come to blows. Loki wins out and has Tortorici stumbling into a corner when the former CAW Champion comes back with a knee to the gut. Tortorici stuns Loki even further with a big knee lift that leaves him on his back.

Tortorici peels Loki from the mat and thrusts him into a corner. Tortorici applies a choke that Stevens breaks with a count of five, but Tortorici presses his advantage by whipping Loki hard into the adjacent turnbuckles! Loki staggers out and Tortorici plasters him with a sidewalk slam! He covers for 1----2----and Loki manages to get an arm up. Tortorici looks at Calysto on the apron and tags him into the match.

Schenck: This isn't good news for Loki. Right after Tortorici schools him again, he's gotta deal with The Iceman!

Calysto comes in and goes right on the attack, stomping away at Loki's midsection. He lifts Loki up and puts him back in the same neutral corner that Tortorici held him in, and reddens his chest with big reverse knife-edge chops. Calysto jaws at Loki while he hits him, but Loki blocks a fourth chop and comes back with a right of his own. Calysto eats it and swings back, but Loki blocks it and nails another punch. Loki fights his way out of the corner and avoids Calysto swipes before doubling him over and connecting with the Penance DDT!

Cade: There you go Loki!

Schenck: Both guys need tags right now!

Loki begins to crawl towards his corner and Calysto does the same. Loki is ahead of Calysto, but Tortorici rushes in, drawing the attention of Stevens as Loki makes the tag! The crowd erupts as The Machine enters, but Stevens quickly turns around and orders him back to his corner! The Machine is irate as Calysto and Tortorici take Loki apart with the ref's back turned. By the time Machine gets back on the apron, Tortorici stays in and grabs Loki in a sleeper as Calysto exits.

Tortorici holds tight, but the crowd brings Loki back. He nails one elbow to the gut, then another, and he breaks the hold with a third elbow. Loki hits the ropes and Tortorici swings a big clothesline, but Loki ducks it. Tortorici turns around, finding an Atheist superkick for his troubles! Tortorici is blasted backwards from the blow and his elbow nails Stevens right in the head, flooring him! Tortorici manages to tag Calysto, but Loki lunges for his corner and makes the tag to The Machine!

Cade: Machine is in!

Schenck: Oh God!

Machine enters the ring a ball of fire, knocking down both Tortorici and Calysto. Loki gets back in the picture and darts at Calysto, but The Iceman ducks it and greets Loki with a spinning heel kick! The Machine is taking apart the tired Tortorici and signals for the Jackhammer!

Machine grabs Tortorici in a front facelock and holds him high before drilling him with a Jackhammer! Stevens comes to, just as Calysto grabs Loki in the Crossface! Machine makes a cover on Tortorici as Loki taps out! Stevens looks dizzy, but looks to the timekeeper and calls for the bell!

Cade: Wait, what just happened?

Palmer: The winners of this contest as a result of a submission, Mike Tortorici and The Machine!

Cade: WHAT?!?!

Schenck: I get it now! Stevens never saw The Machine get tagged in, meaning Loki was legal. When he got up, Loki was tapping out, therefore Calysto won the match!

Cade: You have got to be kidding me! Calysto has finally gotten one up on The Machine here tonight!

The Machine gets off of Tortorici and springs towards Calysto, but The Iceman rolls out of the ring and heads up the ramp. "F*ckin In The Bushes" replays as The Machine furiously stews in the ring.

Winners via submission at 10:05 - Jason Calysto and Mike Tortorici
