OAKLAND ARENA

OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA

SEGMENT 8:  BACKSTAGE:
We return from commercial break backstage, where Hollywood Mike Griffin is pacing back and forth.  He is in the room with his agent Ari Greenstein, his bodyguard Jonathan Brett, and his personal chef Lauren Tantalus, who is standing by a stove.

Lauren:  Pork chops?

Griffin:  No.

Lauren:  Steak?

Griffin:  No.

Lauren: Ooh, how about venison?!

Griffin:  No Lauren, I just want something simple.  Can’t you seem I’m a little nervous here?  It’s bad enough that I’m going to be in the ring tonight with Jaguar, Romeo, Jason Calysto, Scythe, AND your brother, five guys who all want to tear my head off for one reason or another… but besides Jon here, I’m teaming with three guys I don’t even know I can trust.  I know absolutely nothing about Bishop Cross, and I know enough about Anthony Failla and Solomon to know they don’t really like anyone.  So just make me something simple tonight.  Like a hamburger or something.

Lauren:  Ugh.  I’m a gourmet chef, I don’t do hamburgers.

Griffin then shakes his head and sits down, burying his face in his hands.

Griffin:  This is hopeless.

Lauren:  So steak?

Griffin:  (sighing) Sure.

SEGMENT 9:  MATCH 4:  DARRIN GILES & SUPERSTAR SCOTT HOSEMANN VS. JUSTICE & THE OMEGA STEVE BEOVICH:
Referee:  Jason Church

Earshot's "Control" plays once again, bringing out the team of the Progressive Champion Darrin Giles and Scott Hosemann. They are lead to the ring by Justin Schenck and the crowd showers them with jeers. Giles and Hosemann climb into the ring and pose for a crowd that cannot stand these two men. As Schenck takes his place on the outside, their theme fades and White Zombie's "More Human Than Human" hits, prompting the arrival of The Omega Steve Beovich. He raises his arms high to greet to the crowd and they reply in kind. Beovich makes it to the bottom of the ramp and awaits his chosen tag partner for the evening. "Where Da Hood At" by DMX suddenly plays, introducing Justice to the Oakland Arena audience. They cheer loudly as Justice approaches the ring. He reaches the bottom of the ramp and nods to Beovich before they both slide into the ring. The referee ensures that nothing gets out of hand by standing between them. The two teams however, insist on verbally berating each other. Giles gives his belt to the referee and demands that it be taken care of.

Troy: At Forsaken, Beovich will be given the chance to beat Darrin Giles for the Progressive Title.

Ferrara: But tonight, he has the chance to get the momentum going into Forsaken.

Beovich opts to start the match off against Hosemann. They lock up in the center of the ring, but Hosemann rakes Beovich across the eyes. The audience boos this display, but it doesn't stop Hosemann from keeping the advantage. He brings Beovich up high and crushes him on an outstretched knee. Beovich roars in pain, and Hosemann continues the assault with several stomps to the back. After lifting Beovich back to his feet, Hosemann whips him into the ropes and scoops him up into a sidewalk slam. At this point Giles holds his hand out, requesting a tag.

Troy: I can't believe this guy. He only wants to get at Beovich now that he's down.

Ferrara: It's smart planning, Troy. Giles wants to send a message to Beovich, and it's that the belt isn't going anywhere.

Hosemann makes contact with Giles' hand, and the referee registers the tag. Giles storms into the ring and proceeds to stomp the life out of Beovich. He presses a boot onto Beovich's throat, but the referee stops him with a count to four.

Ferrara: Well, he's certainly sending that message now.

Troy: I don't agree with his methods, but it looks like Beovich is getting the point.

Giles peels Beovich off the mat and prepares to demolish him with a German suplex, but The Omega struggles in the move and elbows Giles in the side of the head. Giles releases the hold, allowing Beovich to bounce off the ropes and take Giles' head off with a devastating clothesline!

Troy: Maybe not!

In need of a breather, Beovich stumbles to his corner and tags in Justice! He stampedes into the ring and gives Giles a reason to stay down with punches to the skull. Justice wrenches Giles off the mat and hurls him into the ropes before bouncing off the opposite side and meeting Giles in the middle with a hard shoulder block. Justice calls for his finisher and waits for Giles to get back up. When Giles stumbles to his feet, he receives a boot to the gut before being set up for the Blind Justice Powerbomb. However, Hosemann comes into the ring and sends a fist into Justice's kidney area, causing him to drop Giles.

Troy: Justice could've won this match!

Ferrara: That's exactly why Hosemann stepped in!

Hosemann climbs back onto the apron as the referee reprimands him. Giles quickly returns to his feet as Justice is recovering, and they begin to battle back and forth. Giles manages to land a knee into Justice's stomach, following it up with a spinning neckbreaker! The crowd attempts to will Justice on, but troubles get worse when Giles tags Hosemann into the match.

Troy: Things are not looking good for Justice.

Before stepping out, Giles and Hosemann drag Justice to a corner where they begin to take turns stomping on him. Beovich will have none of it, however, and soars into the fray before tackling Giles out of the ring and to the arena floor! They continue to do battle outside as Hosemann picks Justice apart in the ring. But, with the crowd behind him, Justice catches his second wind and takes the fight to Hosemann! Justice knocks down Hosemann with a clothesline, but before he can capitalize, he notices that Dexter P. Wellington and his butler Winston are steadily walking down to the ring. Justice shakes his head and continues to beat down on Hosemann.

Troy: Now what does he want out here?

Ferrara: He probably wants to ask Justice where the hood is located.

As the referee tries to break up the brawl between Beovich and Giles on the outside,
Wellington walks to the ring, and Winston quickly brushes the steel steps with a feather duster. Wellington walks up the steps and sips a glass of brandy, greatly proving to be a distraction to Justice. With Hosemann on the mat, Justice walks over and verbally picks a fight with Wellington, who yawns in boredom. Wellington takes another sip of his brandy, and with a grin, douses the rest of it into Justice's face! The crowd is disgusted by this display as Wellington retreats up the ramp with Winston.

Troy: That was uncalled for!

Justice is unable to see, and with this advantage, Hosemann plants a boot into his gut and follows it up with a Superstar Stunner. With the damage done, Hosemann makes the cover and the referee counts. One. Two. Three.

Troy: Justice had this match won if it weren't for Wellington!

Ferrara: I wonder if it was worth it for Wellington. That was probably expensive brandy.

Troy: Stop it!

"Control" plays once more, and the crowd is irate, much unlike
Wellington, who is walking up the ramp with a confident smile.

SEGMENT 10:  BACKSTAGE:
The shot cuts backstage, where clamor fills the locker room as Jason Calysto, Scythe, Greg Tantalus and The Hot Boy$ are preparing for their upcoming match.

Jaguar: Alright guys, listen up. (Still talking) Guys! Alright, I know the deal about Seven Deadly Sins. Everyone in this room right now has the opportunity to leave Vancouver with this, the PWA Title. I know I've got what you all want, and I'm cool with taking on each and every one of you to keep it. It's not like we haven't gone at it before. But that is for Saturday night fellas. We need to worry about tonight if we want to win this 10-man tag. We've got 5 of the best in the business to take on out there and if we go into this match focused only on Forsaken, we might not even make it there. So I'm gonna grab this belt and carry it on out there because I'm all about business tonight. Here's hoping you guys feel the same way.

With that said, Jaguar grabs the title belt and walks out of the room. His teammates follow suit, all looking ready for action as we take a commercial break.

SEGMENT 11:  JUMBOTRON:
David Draiman's "Forsaken" hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads "PWA Forsaken Report."  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O'Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Forsaken logo.

O'Brien:  Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ron O'Brien and this is the Revival report.  The Progressive Wrestling Alliance will return to pay-per-view Saturday night, January 22, when we invade the PNE Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to bring you Forsaken.  The whole card has been announced, so let's get right to it!

In a brutal Seven Deadly Sins match, Jaguar defends the PWA Championship against Solomon, Mike Griffin, Greg Tantalus, Jason Calysto, Romeo, Scythe, and the winner of the upcoming GI Jew-Anthony Failla battle!  Eight men, seven falls, it's the most intense 70 minutes of wrestling you'll find all year!

With the International Championship on the line, Showtime Damon Savage defends the gold against Jon Dulberg!  What role will Rodney King and the Vydrinas play?

In his pay-per-view debut, Dexter P. Wellington collides with Justice!

The Lost Souls defend the Tag Team Championship against The Naturals and Dean Nash & Damien Fields in a Gates of Hell attraction!  In this unique three-team double-elimination round robin tournament not seen since Everlasting Epic 2, two teams will start the match and wrestle, one fall to a finish.  The loser of the fall will then exit the ring and the third team will enter.  The match will continue in this fashion until two teams are eliminated, with elimination being after losing two decisions.  It will certainly be a marathon, where only the strongest team will survive.

The Legacy’s Darrin Giles will defend the Progressive Championship against The Omega Steve Beovich!

And, in a match made official earlier tonight, Paul Dawkins will team with former partner Renegade to meet the duo of Mike Grieco and Jackie Baccaro!

All this and more coming your way Saturday, January 22 from Vancouver, British Columbia!  It's Forsaken, exclusively on pay-per-view!  That's all for this week, folks.  For the Forsaken report, I'm Ron O'Brien, saying see you in Vancouver!

SEGMENT 12:  JAGUAR, ROMEO, JASON CALYSTO, SCYTHE & GREG TANTALUS VS.
HOLLYWOOD MIKE GRIFFIN, JONATHAN BRETT, BISHOP CROSS, ANTHONY FAILLA & SOLOMON:
 Referee:  Tom Stevens

The action returns to ringside, where Oasis' "F*ckin in the Bushes" plays as Jason Calysto makes his way to the ring. The Iceman joins Romeo and Greg Tantalus at the bottom of the ramp before the camera shows the group of Anthony Failla, Solomon, Bishop Cross, Jonathan Brett and Hollywood Mike Griffin assembled in the ring as Walter Gindin and Lauren Tantalus lurk at ringside. "With You" by Linkin Park plays next and the entrance floods with thick smoke as Scythe steps out to a huge crowd pop!

The modern day samurai sheds his entrance gear on his way down the ramp and locks eyes with Bishop Cross halfway into his walk. Scythe looks to go right after him, but Calysto holds him back, knowing the danger of entering the ring a man short, but the opposing team has other ideas.

Troy: Wait a second, they're getting out of the ring!

Ferrara: Oh, it's about to go down Troy!

Troy: There they go!

Wasting no time, the fight erupts on the floor as Cross and Scythe immediately tear into one another! Calysto and Brett go at it as Griffin and Tantalus do the same. Solomon and Failla then team up on the strongest member of their opposition, taking Romeo down and stomping him into the ground. The crowd is yelling for the help of Jaguar, and they get it as a huge, fiery explosion erupts and "Real Big" by Mannie Fresh hits.

Jaguar steps through the smoke and fire to a deafening ovation, but he ignores it and drops the PWA Title belt on the ramp before removing his leather jacket and shades. Failla heads up the ramp to cut him off, but Jaguar charges and takes him down with a clothesline!

Without losing momentum, Jaguar runs down the ramp and grabs Bishop Cross by the head before rolling him into the ring. Cross rolls inside near a corner and Jaguar follows him in, giving him stomp after stomp after stomp as the crowd goes crazy!

Troy: Jaguar has been the difference maker so far!

Ferrara: The champ is indeed here right now!

The skirmish on the floor quickly breaks up as Jaguar takes Cross to town in the ring, whipping him into the ropes and sending him down with a massive back body drop. The second he climbs up on the apron, Scythe extends his hand and Jaguar quickly tags it to a big ovation!

Scythe runs into the ring to go right after Cross and he does so by quickly shooting him into the ropes. Cross ducks under a clothesline, allowing Brett to make a blind tag. Cross runs back into Scythe as he grabs him around the collar for The Flying Dragon, but Cross rakes his eyes and Scythe turns right into a huge boot to the face by Brett!

Troy: What a shot!

Ferrara: These two are definitely no strangers to one another, remember it was Brett that broke Scythe's arm in two last year!

Brett makes a quick cover, but only gets a two count as Scythe kicks out, but the former PWA Champion is obviously dizzied by the big blow and Brett keeps the pressure on with big left hands to the head. Brett gets Scythe up off the mat and downs him with a sidewalk slam before delivering a tag to Solomon.

The crowd groans in unison as the angry Alaskan Monster grabs Scythe off the mat into a gorilla press position before effortlessly dumping him behind his back to the canvas. Solomon thinks about his next move and then follows up on it by getting Scythe off the mat and shooting him to the ropes. Solomon is poised to make an attack, but Scythe thinks fast and hits a dropkick right on Solomon's kneecap, sending the 7-footer down to the mat in a heap!

Scythe does a fireman's roll towards his corner, reaching Jason Calysto, who wastes not a single second before pouncing right atop Solomon. The most gifted technical superstar of all-time throws away his reputation as he pounds Solomon with fist after fist, but The Alaskan Monster violently shoves him off!

Calysto backs into the ropes and times Solomon for a spinning heel kick, but when he attempts it, Solomon catches him and spikes him down to the mat! Griffin is ready for a tag and Solomon gives it, causing the fans to boo even louder than before.

Ferrara: Mike Griffin is not the guy that Calysto wants to see right now. He looked like he landed on his neck there, and Griffin knows how to exploit a body part like no other.

Griffin does just that, sending Calysto right back on his head with a big German suplex. He goes for another, but Greg Tantalus runs into the ring and clubs Griffin from behind to break up the hold!

Tom Stevens ushers him back to his corner, but with Griffin down, Calysto makes the now legal tag to The Smooth One. The crowd goes crazy as Tantalus hovers over Griffin before he goes crazy himself with blows about his head and shoulders. Brett rushes into the ring to get him off, but that brings in Romeo, who scores with a huge tackle!

The ring soon floods with competitors, which is way too much for the senior official to follow. Jaguar gives Solomon a clothesline that sends both of them down to the floor while Scythe and Cross end up there by battling through the ropes together. Failla gives Tantalus a blow to the head, causing the fiery Tantalus to go right after him.

Calysto cuts Failla off, but the distraction gives Griffin enough time to grab Tantalus by the tights and pull him into a rollup! Stevens gets into position and Griffin tugs on the tights harder, not allowing his former partner to escape before the count of three! The bell sounds and Tool's "Parabola" hits before anyone even knows what happened.

Troy: Griffin used the tights!

Ferrara: He sure isn't sticking around to celebrate though!

Griffin rolls out of the ring and high tails it as Tantalus quickly takes off after him. The rest of their partners brawl in and out of the ring, leaving a trail of carnage in their wake as Frequency comes to a close.
